Oh, thank goodness! It was only Ryan!

Schools!

Yesterday the teachers were on strike and today there's an Inset day - the kids only went back to school on Monday!

They've got a day off a week on Monday for May Bank Holiday.

Then they break up for half term on the 23rd.

I dunno - they're never at school!

Argosy.

Robynn from Purlescence made a very generous offer on Ravelry earlier this week. She had been sent a sample hank of yarn from Indigo Moon and offered it to anyone who wanted it on the understanding that photos would be taken of the finished work and posted on her site http://purlescence.co.uk/ and whoever offered could keep the finished item. Well I couldn't resist that now could I?

So, I have just wound the yarn and later on I am going to start an Argosy scarf.

CLAPOTIS NUMERO 3

SCARY!!!!

Amber and her best mate, Emily, went into town yesterday for a girly day - when they got home Ryan thought he'd walked into a horror film!

Amber's new hair!

Amber's great at posing! I think her new hairstyle really suits her, and it's so much easier to manage!

Clappy No 3 FINISHED!

I have finished my third clappy and it is beautiful but I don't think I shall be making another one in Noro Silk Garden Lite or otherwise. This is the third clappy I've made and I have yet to make one that, when you drop the stitches, the yarn actually runs! I shall be posting a picture tomorrow as I want to use natural light to take the photo.

Food Centre!

I am getting an American style food centre delivered this week, courtesy of my lovely Dad. My fridge/freezer is working OK but one of the drawers won't fit properly as the runner on the side of the freezer has broken off - everytime I open the door tere's a danger of getting a drawerful of food on my toes!

Village Show!

have now managed to get hold of a schedule for this years show and the craft section states that a knitted item of ORIGINAL DESIGN can only be entered! I think that's a bit much for a small village show - I know what I am going to do as I've been planning a bag for sometime but a lot of older people probably won't enter! The category has been changed too - now a trophy is awarded for the best project. The top prize used to be 50p!

Me ibn my new sunglasses!

A very rare photo!

Amber

Amber has a funky new hairstyle - in fact she has had it all cut off! This isn't a particularly good photo but I will keep trying!

Clappy No. 3 PROGRESS

This is definitely comfor knitting! I don't normally like to repeat patterns but I love doing these!

The yarn is Noro Silk Garden Lite, shade 2015. I am trying to keep the colours in sequence/

School Holidays @*!*@?

Only one day in and I can't wait for them (well the younger one at least) to go back to school! Amber is so demanding and nothing is good enough for her, she won't tidy her room or clear up her mess elsewhere in the house.

She did a bit of tidying up in her room yesterday and I must have about fifteen towels to wash this morning - I think she must pull half a dozen out of the airing cupboard when she gets one and leaves them on the floor, I'm sure half of them haven't been used. I am on the second load of washing already and it's only 10.00 - I am hoping they will dry outside!

Tragedy

I decided to take myself into Crawley yesterday but when we passed Three Bridges station there were three fire enginess, a couple of ambulances and half a dozen police cars all with their lights flashing outside. When I got home I found out that a woman had been hit by a train and subsequently died. I haven't heard any more reports since lunchtime but I can't help thinking what a terrible day for some poor family.

yayyy!

My sunglasses are ready for collection!

They only took two weeks instead of three but I can't get them on saturday as the fitting lady won't be there so I've got to wait until tuesday!

I'll definitely be glad to get them as I am finding my old ones a lot different now that I have new everyday glasses.

Am counting the minutes!
