Oh dear (Again)!!

Don't seem to be very good at this blogging lark lately do 1?

Oh well, never mind .....

Ryan has an interview on thursday for a place at Central Sussex College for an IT course but he does have a guaranteed place for the 6th form at school in september should he need it.

Amber has been let down on her work experience placement so I need to contact the school to see what's going to happen.

Got my new glasses and think I am used to them now but still can't get to grips with the reading ones!

Ploughing on with my trillo cardigan WHICH I WANT TO FINISHED ASAP!

and I have been dip dyeing this morning, on my own, and it seems to have come out just as I wanted!

2 knitting groups = 2 frogged projects!

Tuesday, I frogged my Old Shale Lace scarf and started a Bias towards Lace one when I got home
Today, I frogged Plain & Simple, started a waistcoat and frogged that, and now think i will probably knit White Lies Designs' Letitia which is the pattern I was going to knit originally!

This week in dodoland

Amber finally has an appointment to see a specialist about her knees but I had to delay it by a couple of weeks because the date was right in the middle of her work experience so we will be going in the first week of the school holidays.

Ryan is now looking at a career in IT and we have contacted the Jobshop at Central Sussex College, they are sending all the forms for apprenticeships (but Ryan has to look for a job before he can get an apprenticeship) and they are also going to list the full-time college courses that would be a good back-up.

I went to the South of England Show yesterday (only a mile or two down the road) and a great if tiring day. Quality of light generally not good for me though - would’ve normally stayed indoors. I bought a lovely basket for my knitting that Millie promptly decided looked comfortable so got an went to sleep, some lovely sausages, some lovely cherries, some fluorescent pink boxer shorts for Ryan, funky socks for Amber and some socks for my fussy dad for fathers day. David bought me a cute little drop spindle from my friends on the Wensleydale Sheep to Shawl stand and I had a quick lesson but I think I’ve forgotten it all, and some gorgeous honey handcream.

Got home and rang the optician about my new glasses only to be told that one pair (the reading pair) were ready but not the others, then discovered a split in the arch to my right foot which, no doubt, will require me to see the doctor on monday (when I am also going to try and get an emergency dental appointment as the temporary crown has sort of started to disintegrate and is now hurting lots and lots)!

Candida - finished!

What an unfortunate name for a bag!

Really pleased with this - my new project bag!

Amber has fallen in love with this and has requested one but, at around £38 I think I will make her a cheaper alternative for September!
