Couldn't decide ....

.... which pattern to make for Frances, so, after a little discussion with Liz I came to a decision, and I got on really well last night.

BUT, as Frances reads this blog, it is top secret!

Knitting Progress

My Bounced Check has stalled - am going to run out of the main yarn and have been hunting for an alternative BUT I found some Painted Tiger yarn in my stash which is nearly the same so am going to use that .... I think.

Am halfway through the Luffle Scarf - love the Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk!

Dug out Joji from the wardrobe with a view to frogging BUT have decided that I will try to finish it off!

Am planning a couple of projects for Frances' birthday on 2nd June

I'm hooked!

on braiding!

Problems, problems!

I am definitely not going to have enough of the random yarn for my Bounced Check jacket so i think I may have come up with a suitable alternative. I am going to add a completely different colour which will then be used for the edging too.

Ffingers crossed!

Finally .... The Spice Caravan Robe!

I hope to get a photo of it being worn sooner or later!

Sunset Bag

Most expensive part of the whole bag was the button - Mother of Pearl from Kangaroo, I already had the handles and most of the yarn was 'leftovers' from other projects - I only bought one skein!

Rico Pompom Scarf

Ryan modelling Amber's scarf!

The flowers wot Amber chose as a prize!

Ryan being a model!

The top photo is a picture of Ryan and Berni, his actual date for the Prom on 8th May.

I frogged my Sunset Kimono last night as I didn't like the way it was coming out. I am currently looking for another pattern - maybe Spiral Nebula (original choice), Toreador Jacket or Tumbling Triangles.

Meet Pixie!

Amber's latest addition! Pixie is a Skink and is quite cute although she does seem mesmerised by my glasses!

It seems to have been a whole week ...

.... since I last posted! Oh well, here's a quick catch up -

Have had two days (at least) of just not feeling 'right' By that I mean that my blood sugar was on the verge of being too low all day and it even felt as if knitting would give me a hypo!

But, have finished three things this week - Spice Caravan Robe, White Pompom Scarf and Sunset bag. I have started my version of Bounced Check (as Frances pointed out, very apt for me!).

Haven't been able to post photos yet as my SD carf mysteriously disappeared and I couldn't get to grips with Amber's camera. Found card in the card reader by the wall under the desk but of course no-one knows how it got there. Obviously Mr Invisible has moved in again! I hope to have some photos for you all later!

Amber, bless her (!@!?!@!), has been driving me mad all week wanting to get a lizard or two. She has researched them, it seems, and managed to prove to me that her proposed lizard living arrangmenets would suffice. This means that David is taking her to Horley later today to buy a Skink. I have tried to make her promise that's it for pets for a while. We currently have -

Susie cat
five hamsters
two Axylotl
loads of fish
six incubating hens' eggs
AND eleven incubating quails' eggs

All she seems to think about is what she can get next and where from!

What a great night!

The charity fashion show Ryan took part in was absolutely brilliant! The clothes were great, the girls were gorgeous and the boys were, well very, very handsome (all from schooI!)

Ryan really enjoyed himself as did Frances, Amber and I, and ... we wond on the raffle. We let Amber choose the prize and, instead of sweets, she picked the most beautiful flower arrangement of pink lilies and red roses for me!

She can be thoughtful.

Spice caravan robe - again!

I was getting so frustrated with knitting the garter stitch sleeves until I changed from a 40cm circular with very short points to a 60cm one - now I'm flying along! Hope to have it finished by the end of tomorrow, fingers and toes crossed.
