Unravel

Got a free ticket for Unravel tomorrow and I'm going without Amber. Frances, Margaret and I are going together so it promises to be a fun day out!

yayyy!

Ryan got into the sixth form!

So no worries for a while now!

Scarves!

I have to make another scarf in a hurry for a friend that happens to be a girl of Ryan's for her birthday. Notice given SIX days! Small clappy - the old faithful - now underway!

I am beginning to think every girl in year 11 at Ryan's school will soon have a scarf!

Changed mind

- I am not making the Clamshell pattern but have started another Kimono of Many Colours in the yarn!

Fed up with making bags!

I am going to start another project later - a Clamshell cardigan (pattern from 21st Century Yarns) and I am going to use this gorgeous yarn I got from High Weald Fibre Factory

Diabetes Management Course

Went for the first day of the course today and am just hoping that I remember to do the working out right! I'll have a go before tea.

Didn't get any of my Maggie Bag done as David took me this morning and the course actually finished an hour earlier than I thought so, next week, dad won't have to pick me up.

Ryan

Ryan had a bit of an accident at school yesterday during PE. He was goalie in hockey and managed to get hit on the chin by a hockey ball! On the advice of the school nurse I took him to A&E but they were satisfied that he hadn't done any damage but would have a nasty bruise.

He has also decided to stay on into the 6th form now too as he really doesn't know what he wants to do in the big wide world.

2be felted

Market Squares
B4 Bag
My Constant Companion

plus

Flamenco Bag (yet to be made!)
Felted Drawstring Bag (started)
Maggie Bag (hospital knitting)

NOTE TO SELF!

NO MORE MONEY TO BE SPENT OTHER THAN FOOD AND BILLS FOR A FEW WEEKS!

Have decided ....

..... on Sunday 1st March I am going to start my Spiced Caravan Robe! I have made inroads into my stash (have bought a little bit) but now I seem to have loads of bags instead!

On the 15th February I shall start felting the bags I have made recently - there are three at the moment but by then there could be four!

Nearly finished!

I've nearly done all the bags for my felting display - I only have to finish the i-cord bind off but am saving this for our Knit'n'Natter this week to give a quick demo.

I have decided not to make the Bravo bag as I don't really like cables and I am not too sure about the design of the bag - I don't think the sides will 'sit' properly, and I don't want to spend all that time knitting and find I'm not happy with it.

I do want to use the handle idea from the Bravo bag though so am looking around for an alternative pattern that I can incorporate the belt idea into so I really need to sit and go through ALL my felted bag patterns!

Not very happy!

In view of the weather, I though I ought to phone the hospital and make sure the clinic was still on today. Good job I did - my appointment hadn;t been logged in properly last time and they had no record of me for today! This means I won't be going for another SIX WEEKS as I had to make it for when someone can take me!

I'd got myself all psyched up for it too!

This is also the second day that the school has been closed!

Eye Clinic on tuesday

Got my check up on tuesday and I am not looking forward to it as I think my eyes may have got worse, and then on thursday I am having my white stick training. Trouble is this feels like one step too far.

I am also really missing my mum at the moment which certainly isn't helping.

Not sure about ....

.... the yarn I'm using - it's supposed to be bulky (chunky) weight but it doesn't seem right, I think it;s between an aran and a bulky weight.

Oh well, I'll have a small bag!
