On tuesday morning Ryan decided to cycle to school. Just before 8.30 I had on 0800 reverse call from him - he'd had an accident. He had hit the pavement, the bike stopped but he didn't and he went over the handlebars. Luckily, as he wasn;t wearing his helmet, he didn't hit his head but has some nasty grazes, gouges and bruises. Of course his new bike has been damaged and is going to the cycle hospital this afternoon, after being nursed by the school caretaker in the Boiler Room for a few days and is being transferred by Ryan and my dad in the family ambulance.
Dadis not happy as we don't seem to be having a lot of luck with bikes (Amber's recently had to be repaired) but at least Ryan is in one piece.

Glad to hear he wasn't too badly hurt! Will this encourage him to wear his helmet, do you think?
I certainly hope so but you know what kids are like with street cred and all that!
